Quaint Pub with Great Food and Friendly Staff We recently stayed at a rustic pub with a great atmosphere. the selection of beers & wines was varied and their steak & kidney pie was definitely the star of the menu. the portion sizes were generous and we left very satisfied. the rooms were cozy, and the hot water supply was impressive. the staff were always welcoming and provided excellent service. We also enjoyed the rural location which offered a peaceful escape from the city.
Limited Breakfast Time with No Wi, Fi Code We found breakfast to be very limited with an early start time from 8.30, 9, which was quite inconvenient for our plans. we were not given the Wi, Fi code and had to repeatedly ask for it, which took up a considerable amount of time.

The location of the hotel was great, right in the heart of the city and close to many shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with a map of the area upon arrival. They also offered a complimentary breakfast in the morning which was a nice touch. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed.
There were a few major drawbacks to our stay. the noise level was unbearable.

The location of this inn is quite lovely, with picturesque surroundings and a charming atmosphere. the Sunday lunch seems to be a highlight, with delicious food, well-cooked meats, and generous portions. the staff, although young, provide good service and are polite and welcoming. the restaurant is busy, indicating its popularity. the original bar manager is still there, adding a sense of familiarity.
The staff can sometimes be grumpy and prioritize serving their local patrons over other customers.

The White Lion Inn Gillingham ticks all the boxes for a charming countryside retreat. the value for money is excellent - you get more than what you pay for! Secondly, the attention to detail is commendable; from the rustic decor to the well-appointed rooms, everything exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere. And speaking of rooms, the comfortable beds are a dream to sink into after a long day of exploring the area. Additionally, the friendly and accommodating staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
Nothing stood out as needing improvement.

I recently had a delightful stay at a local gastropub in Bourton. The hotel not only impressed me with its charming atmosphere, but also its excellent value for money. The dinner menu was varied and reasonably priced, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and the well-cooked dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that all guests, including walk-ins like myself, were well taken care of. Additionally, the location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the area, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay.
Everything was just perfect.
